Angel Ortega Blancas is a junior at Columbia College Chicago. Majoring in Graphic Design with a minor in marketing. This education has equipped Angel with skills to be detailed orientated, how to properly express his creativity, and willingness to learn. Angel’s education has allowed Angel to take courses like GRDE 1 – form and structure, GRDE 2 – semiotics and form, Design Lab, Typography for Graphic Design, and Web Design.

Courses that have allowed Angel to grow more but showcase his experience. Angel has taken part in projects involving redesigning the Mike and Ike packaging with the style of the past designer, Theo Van Doesburg. A poster collage for the World Cup of 2022 where he edited contenders in Photoshop.  Coding and designing a portfolio website. Remixing two album covers from the 60s, combining key elements from the covers. Created a food delivery app from start to finish, including everything from icons, wordmark, and app prototype. Bodoni Typeface poster meant to showcase the styles of Bodoni. And a publication based on Paul Renner, the creator of Futura.
