Design Statement:

The typeface poster was created to showcase the boldness of the Futura font. Along with capturing key elements that inspired the creation of the typeface. Showcasing it through colors, shapes, and the range of styles the Futura typeface has to offer.

I wanted to showcase the boldness of Futura, along with key references of its inspiration. I was able to showcase this using shapes. The square, triangle, and circle designs is meant to represent to Bauhaus movement and their principles. A unique artistic movement based on geometric shapes. The blueprint outline in the background is meant to showcase the geometry of Futura, as if you were actually drawing out each letter. The shapes layered on top of the Futura text are meant to showcase how the Bauhaus movement inspired Futura's Geometry. With this I was able to create a poster that showcased both Futura and its inspiration.
